At the recent POA Board meeting the Board president announced the proposed amendment to Article VI of the Waterfall Declaration of Restrictions and Protective Covenants failed to garner the 67% of association approval it needed to pass. According to the Board's president, only 53 members voted in favor of the amendment, far less than the 94 affirmative votes the Declaration requires. While only 64 members returned ballots, failing to return a ballot constituted a “No” vote.
The amendment’s failure to pass does not affect the ARB or its continuing service to the Waterfall community. The ARB remains an independent community board acting as an additional set of eyes and ears and offering an independent view on matters of community standards.
Please return to the website for news and announcements as the POA Board of Directors will not allow the managing agent to e-mail ARB communications to homeowners.
The recently proposed amendment to Article VI of the Declaration failed to receive community support. In a situation where 94 affirmative votes were required to pass the amendment it received only 53 affirmative votes.
