The ARB is an independent board created by the Declaration of Restrictions and Protective Covenants, and it has an important job to do. It can best do that job when it can communicate with homeowners.
Unfortunately, the POA Board of Directors has consistently refused to allow our management company, to publish notices from the ARB. This occurred recently when the POA Board planned to install a fifty-foot-long PVC perimeter fence and gate between Lot 14 and Lot 15. The ARB sent the Board an e-mail expressing its concerns with the plan and asked that the e-mail be sent to all homeowners. The Board refused, instead, it made mention that the ARB’s position could be found on the ARB website but failed to give the website’s address.
In the past the ARB was forced to deliver its position by placing notices in homeowners’ mailboxes. That is one reason the ARB established its website and why now a "News & Announcements" section has been added. It is not as effective as direct emails, but for now it is the best alternative available.
The ARB added this section so that it can effectively communicate with the community regarding matters involving community standards.
